Andrew joined AEGON as chief investment officer in February 2005 and has over 20 years' experience of investment management. In November 2005, he was appointed Managing Director of AEGON Asset Management. Prior to joining, Andrew was CIO and global head of portfolio management at ABN Amro for six-and-a-half years. At Gartmore from 1984 to 1998, he was a main board director and deputy CIO and head of equities. He also ran Gartmore’s Tokyo office (1987-1993) and a US joint venture with Nations Bank. Andrew read history at the University of York.

Jon joined AEGON Asset Management in December 1998 and was appointed executive director in 2002. Jon's responsibilities include leading and directing the retail-fund business and our marketing team. He is a member of the senior management group and serves on the Management, HR, Audit, Strategy and Business Development Committees. Before joining AEGON, Jon worked with Britannia Asset Management, where he was responsible for building the distribution of retail-funds to the adviser market. Before joining the asset management industry Jon spent more than 12 years with an international firm of consultants and actuaries.

Colin is responsible for product management and development. Colin also has responsibility for investment services provided to our affiliates within AEGON in the UK. Colin gained a BSc (honours) at the University of Glasgow in mathematics, and has worked for AEGON since graduating in 1985. He has been a fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries since 1990. Colin had spells on the bond, UK equity and European desks before taking over as head of the bond/treasury desk in 1992. He was appointed to the investment management board as investment actuary, responsible for asset/liability management and overseeing the fixed income and dealing teams in 1996. Two years later Colin assumed responsibility for control and compliance, and in 1999 was appointed to the board of AEGON Asset Management. He assumed responsibility for Insured Business in 2002, and Product in 2006.

Christophe joined AEGON in 2000, and is now director of securities management. Christophe is responsible for running the security transactions process, including fund accounting, pricing and performance reporting. Before joining AEGON, Christophe was at Morgan Stanley, where from 1992 he held various managerial positions, including head of European equity derivatives control.

Philip is in charge of the financial planning and reporting aspect of the AEGON Asset Management business, along with the Regulatory and Operational Risk function and IT. After gaining an MA honours degree in economics and accountancy at the University of Dundee in 1983, Philip trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG, qualifying in 1987. In 1996 he moved to The Hague for an 18-month secondment, working with the AEGON group finance and group business development departments. Philip returned to AEGON as investment manager (operations), and became finance director upon the incorporation of Asset Management.
