Fund Objective
The primary investment objective is to maximise total return, from capital and net income combined, by investing principally in UK companies which form the bottom 10% of the UK stock market based on their market capitalisation.

Elaine joined in 1988 as a UK investment analyst, direct from Edinburgh University where she graduated with an MA in economics with law. Elaine became a UK fund manager in 1992 with responsibility for the Smaller Companies Pensions Fund which she still runs. In 1994 she took charge of our ethical fund range, which she ran for five years before handing over to Audrey Ryan. In June 2006 AEGON launched the UK Smaller Companies Fund which Elaine manages. She is also a member of UKSIP.
