Simon Carter
Head of North American Equities

Simon joined AEGON Asset Management in December 2004. He is Head of North American Equities and co-manages our aggressive global funds. From 2003, Simon worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and before that spent seven years at JPMorgan Investment Management, where he was head of US Equities in London. Between 1994 and 1996 he was director of US equity investments at Lazard Brothers Asset Management, and from 1987 to 1994 he worked as a portfolio manager at Royal Insurance Asset Management. Simon graduated from UMIST with a BSc (Hons) in management science. He is also a chartered financial analyst.

Andrew Fleming
Chief Investment Officer & Managing Director

Andrew joined AEGON as chief investment officer in February 2005 and has over 20 years’ experience of investment management. In November 2005, he was appointed  Managing Director of AEGON Asset Management. Prior to joining, Andrew was CIO and global head of portfolio management at ABN Amro for six and a half years. At Gartmore from 1984 to 1998, he was a main board director and deputy CIO and head of equities. He also ran Gartmore’s Tokyo office (1987-1993) and a US joint venture with Nations Bank. Andrew read history at  the University of York.
